Smplrspace is an early stage & funded Singapore startup co-founded in 2019. We are a small team of creatives determined to transform communication about spaces. Smplrspace’s floor plan platform lets businesses add interactive 2D/3D floor plans to their apps in hours instead of months. We help PropTech & IoT software companies in the space of building operations build custom interactive and visual experiences that users love. The Smplrspace platform lets companies deploy and scale floor plans into their offering and client experience without spending months of engineering on it. We operate as a full-remote async-first company headquartered in Singapore with teammates from Bulgaria to Australia, passing by Bangladesh.

We are looking for 2 software developers to join the team for a 6 months internship. The role will be centred on the development of product features (closed sourced) and demo applications built on top of our product (open sourced). There will also be work around improving the features of our documentation and its ecosystem to help developers self-onboard on the platform. We’re running on a web stack with a Javascript heavy frontend, React, WebGL (babylon.js) and web canvas (pts.js). You’re not supposed to know all of that, but good familiarity with Javascript and/or Typescript will be required. You will get to learn how a startup operates, modern development tooling, code lifecycle in the real world. As we operate remotely, we need people who can work independently on goals — we will support you but you need to be a self-starter who can research and problem solve as well as demonstrate an intrinsic level of motivation.

We value diversity of opinion, belief, background, gender and more, so besides your academic path, we’d be happy to understand who you are and how you may add to the team’s perspective.
